And I am just talking about the standard motors, not hipos or boss motors. thanks. So if u were going too start a base for your motor, what year would it be if u could get just about any year out there.

go with a six any of them after 1964 had the seven main bearings(which is idestructable) put aearly 80s head on it for the unleaded hardend valve seats and your set. 302s arnt as cool as a built and worked 6.(im only saying that bc im poor) a stock 302 will run faster then my 200 with what i have done to it now. go with a 302 out of a truck or somthing big nasty motor for like an f150xlt 4x4

Only one year 302 had high compression and a 4v carb. 1968 "J" code in Mustanga and Cougar.
Only one year 351W passenger car had high compression and a 4V. 1969
86 up HO EFI 302's are very strong.
Early 80's 351 4V HO truck engines aren't bad either and are rather easy and cheap to obtain.
