Ok...I am going to try and replace my '66 Coupe's vinyl roof. I have read all posts on this subject. I was just wondering if I really need the metal retaining strips that go in the drip rails? There is none there now. I noticed that the dealer installed roofs only use screws and are covered with sealer. This sealer was C3AZ-19562-A White. Unlikely I will be able to find a couple tubes of that NOS. Does anyone know what I could use that would be a comparable substitute to this original sealer?
