well i just did mine well took it off. the best way is to remove everything from the dash. the only way i think. there are four screws that hold it on. one on each end and two in the middle. after you remove the molding that covers the windshield weathestripping. the screws are molded into the dash pad itself so. look at how the pad has fins in the middle between the radio and instrument bezel and the glove box. feel under the dash for the little nuts were those fins are. and losen them up i think there 3/8s cant remember. and the same with the end fins. but you need to take out the instrument bezel to get to the one on the drivers side then i should pull right off------------------ 1966 mustang coupe 200ci 3 speed tranny msd 6a ignition, blaster 2 coil, 2 inch exhaust to a glass pac, stock rear, single out header, cold air intake (homemade). white w/ black interior

There are two studs behind the radio! If you remove the glove box compartment and defroster ducts, you can get to them. The old pad will have some glue sticking it to the sheet metal, but it shouldn't give you any problems ------------------ 1965 GT coupe, 333ci aluminum headed/solid cammed stroker, four speed, 3.70:1 9" All Blue Oval, no blue bottle http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/V8Thumper.html

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!! I thought seriously about getting the wrecking bar out but thought better of it. I have taken all the screws out behind the fins, windshield mould and front screws and defroster hoses. It is still rock solid and won't even budge a fraction, do you think it might be the old glue?

well how many nuts did you take off the back? shouldve been 4... now mine wasnt glued on when i pulled it off. it could be glued on . double check that you removed the windshield molding inside that holds the top of the pad on. um after that try to get a starting point somewhere.------------------ 1966 mustang coupe 200ci 3 speed tranny msd 6a ignition, blaster 2 coil, 2 inch exhaust to a glass pac, stock rear, single out header, cold air intake (homemade). white w/ black interior
