There's a small spring clip that retains it; simply pop it off and the gear will slide off the end of the cable ------------------ 1965 GT coupe, 333ci aluminum headed/solid cammed stroker, four speed, 3.70:1 9" All Blue Oval, no blue bottle http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/V8Thumper.html

There should be just a retainer plate secured by a small bolt; remove bolt and plate and you may need to pry a bit as the cable end is o-ringed and might need some 'convincing' to pop out. Some penetrant lubricant may also help ------------------ 1965 GT coupe, 333ci aluminum headed/solid cammed stroker, four speed, 3.70:1 9" All Blue Oval, no blue bottle http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/V8Thumper.html

ug ok i pulled it out and its a 16 tooth gear. now the reason i did this was to find out what gear i needed since my speedo is about 15 mph off when im doing 85 im really doing 70 so. i went and used this calculation thingy and it said that my driven gear should be 16 so somthing is wacked. what diameter tire is this 205/ 70 / r14? in inches bc i have no clue. im using a 3.20 rear end also so do i go up a gear ? bc i dont see a 15 tooth gear------------------ 1966 mustang coupe 200ci 3 speed tranny msd 6a ignition, blaster 2 coil, 2 inch exhaust to a glass pac, stock rear, single out header, cold air intake (homemade). white w/ black interior
