I have a question on rocker arms. I just had installed 3/8" screw in studs in my 1969 351W motor and have a 270H comp cam installed. The old studs had a boss at the base of the threads and when you installed the rockers you just torked the nut down against the stop. On the 3/8" studs there is no stop at the end of the threads. My guess is that you adjust the rockers by taking the play out of the pushrod and than preload the lifter as per the instructions from comp cam. I just want to make sure that I am doing things correctly. Its been a long time since I have done this kind of work on an engine. I would appreciate all the advice I can get.
