Currently dismantling the front suspension to replace the right-side frame rail & radiator support area due to massive Pennsylvania rust. I was wondering if anybody knew where I could find the correct Ford dimensions in terms of the width seperating the frame rails and engine bay aprons. I would really hate to weld everything together to later find out something is out of whack.
I'd gladly buy any book if there was one.
Oh yea, how about the rear frame dimensions as well. Yes i'll be doing that too.

Ford shop manuals have those dimensions in the chassis volume.

Your local body shop with with a frame straightening machine may not have the specs for an old mustang on hand, but they can get them for you.

Get a copy of the Ford shop manual for your year; it will be in there with lots of other good information.

If your car has never been in accident, and the sheetmetal all fits well, measure your own car before any removal of stuff. If the engine is out, also measure diagonally on both sides. Go slow and measure again fitting your new apron, etc. as you go. I had a never hit 68 cv which I measured for a guy in NJ who was doing the same thing.

Thanks alot for the help guys. I've got the shop manual and it has just what I need and it's never been hit that I know of but needed to make sure. As it is the measurements up front seem right on.
Thanks again.
