well i thought that was my problem but it is obviously not all my gauges go pegged so i bought a new regulstor and it does that same thing what the hell. so i turned the set screw out a little and tryed it now it would go all the way up and then go down and back. i dont know if its the voltage regulator or a wiring problem can any body PLEASE help

Hope I don't sound bad asking this, but are you SURE you don't have a couple wires backwards?

im gonna take it to the local mustang shop and see what they say. i went out and bought a tester so i can read the number of volt and it the same thing going out that going in it could be the regulator

Does it run, can you drive it? Bring it around and we'll compare it to mine. You can bring your Dad by to take a look at the engine while your here. By the way no luck yet on the reciepts.

well i think my dad will be cool with it. yea it runs lol but i dont know how fast im going or how much gas i have lol. but that would be cool. im still going to go to the mustang shop here and see what they say i have one of those voltage testers and it was fluctuating so if i adjust the screw on the regulator maybe i can get it right we shall see

ug ok it was the new vr how i dont know so i got an old one out of a junk yard and it worked so whatever waste of 30 bucks for a new vr but il keep it for a spare. so my gauges all work now yeeeeey
