Moneymaker, Is there an ET or HP range where you will see enough difference for the Cal-Tracs to be worth the cost? Or are they better for all applications versus standard traction bars? Sorry if this seems like a silly question and if I havent made myself clear. Trying to cut some pricing corners, but dont want to cut the wrong corners. Sincerely, NewRider

If you just want something to stop wheel hop, then almost anything that clams to the leaf springs will do. If you want the most sophisticated bolt on traction device that will decreat ET's and increase traction, then Cal-Tracs are the way to go. We are their midwest distributor. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,& '04 First SS/MA in the TENS! Unless you will use the car for drag, go with the Traction Master 66 Shelby traction bars. You can pick them up for about $90 - $100. If your car will be mainly on the street, no need to spend the big $$$$ for Caltracs. Caltracs are for heavy launches. This is just my opinion. Good luck.

So,your not recommending them on a street car?I don't mind paying extra for a better product. How would the ride quality be affected for a street car? Also,I saw in another post they had to be set up.Are they adjustable?THANKS------------------ 65 coupe,351W,C4 TRANS,9in w/325 pos (The Heartbeat Stops Here)
