My Dr. tells me I have a serious case of Leadfoot. Symptoms are bald rear tires, rubber bits on the quarter panels, poor gas mileage, a huge grin, and wheel hopping.

So I figure I need to stop the wheel hopping!

I'm looking for a traction device that will stop the wheel hop and give me a good solid launch, yet will be streetable. I'm leaning towards either a set of Cal-Tracs or a set of Slide-A-Links from Competition Engineering. I'm not sure how much I like the solid front bushing that each require though. Perhaps I can install either of these devices using my urethane front bushing?

I have read that Cal-Tracs clunk and clank a bit. True?

I also came across this interesting setup:

It's for a Lightning truck but could easily be copied for a Stang. In fact I could have a set made by a buddy with a machine shop for a very reasonable cost. Would these work for a Stang?

Steve - you sell Cal-Tracs rignt? What's your opinion on them? Have you even run Slide-A-links?

Thanks in advance.....
Brian

Cal-Tracs best, but are rough and noisy.
Slide-a-link more forgiving on street car.

Anyone seen those before?
