Well, I dropped my stock 3 speed to find a flywheel that has a couple teeth missing and severly scored surface, a clutch way overdue for replacement and a worn throwout bearing and pressure plate.

What companies replacement parts would you suggest I use. I'm not going to the track. Strictly a traffic light racer. Well okay, parking lots.

Also, is there some sort of seal that I will need between the T5 and the floorboard?

Thanks in advance.

I just did this in my '93. Granted, it's a different animal, but if they make one for the classics, I'd highly recommend a Centerforce clutch. Amazing difference over the King Cobra I had. Pedal effort is greatly reduced, and yet seems to have even more holding power.

Can't talk much about the other stuff....

You don't need to replace the flywheel, just take it to a machine shop or clutch rebuilder (look in the yellow pages) and have a new ring gear installed and the face resurfaced.
I run a Ram 10.5 inch clutch in mine, about 10,000 miles with no problem, disc, pressure plate and bearing was $100.
Be sure to replace the pilot bearing or bushing while you're in there.
The only seal between the T5 and floor is the shifter boot.

Thanks for the information. I finally found a shop to resurface the flywheel ($27). I purchased the RAM clutch setup (NPD - $119), ring gear for the flywheel (NPD - $19), and pilot bearing (NPD - $6). I guess that will take care of it.
