I installed my reground crank and nice new flat-top pistons this weekend. The garage was WELL below freezing. I put sealant between the block and the rear main cap next to the rear seal, as instructed. Will the sealant work given that it is somewhere between zero and 20 in the garage?

I don't think the sealant itself will freeze. It will just take longer to vulcanize. So take some extra time before you stress it (engine is probably out of the car so it's moot anyway). Cheers, Lonewolf BTW...Go round up some heat!!!

i know i should have got more heat -- it's just that i got the block back, i had the engine kit sitting there and i just couldn't help myself.the motor won't be going in until spring. thanks.
