Does anybody know what I need to do? When I push down on the top of the window it just pushes right down. ( regulator free wheeling ) Is there some sort of adjustment? It kind of makes it easy to break into....lol.

Well, this isn't a straight forward answer but I had the same problem on my driver side window. After removing and reinstalling the regulator, vent window and window, and then installing new weather strip the window is nice and tight. For how long? I don't know but it has been about a year and a half so far. Maybe someone will have a for sure fix. The rollers on the regulator may have something to do with it.

My '65 had the same problem, took off the panel right there and saw that both rollers were out of track. I put some grease on them, popped them back into place (making sure the pins holding them in place were tight) and they've worked fine since.

As stated above the window regulator rollers might have come off the track or are broken all together & need to be replaced.------------------ Mike & Robin Grentus, Owners/Innkeepers A Wolfpack Bed & Breakfast 6700 Rts-5&20 Bloomfield, NY 14469 (585)657-4863 65 Mustang Fastback 69 Mustang Coupe 99 Explorer Sport 00 Ranger XLT Extd Cab 4X4 M&M #- 890 MCA #- 4549 See us at www.wolfpack-bnb.com
