Just got invited with 17 other convertible mustang (early models only) to parade in the opening ceremony preceeding a famous international horse race called "Grand Prix d'AMERIQUE". There will be pom-pom girls & indians riding real mustangs while the 18 stangs will be carrying the Jockeys around the track.
All right ! This may sound a little tacky, but its free lunch and 150$ check for expenses + the stang will be seen live on several french national TV.
I think I should accept, what do you guys think ?

Go for it, it sounds like fun. Why don't you trade your jocky for a pom pom girl. That sounds even more fun.

Do it and have the VCR or VCR/DVD set up to record the event, then take one or two of the pom-pom girls for a ride.

That's cool Pierre. Just make sure your car is well covered inside. These are horse jockies right?

I dunno, have you seen any of the female jockeys? My uncles a jocks agent and he only works with the females... and the few i've had the pleasure of meeting. Whew! They stay in shape! I'd have to pick the female jock over a pom pom girl.
Definately make sure that if you're going to record it and you have kids.. make sure they know not to turn the channel! I had a chance to see Don Mclean in concert of about 100 people recently and I was recording it.. and my little brothers decided that Tom and Jerry was much better than Don Mclean...

In France, do they run on grass like a steeple chase or in the dirt? If it's dirt what if it rains?

Mooney,
Never seen any female one, but this is a tough sport, these guys don't count their broken teeth and ribs when they don't get killed.... Thinking of it, a teethless female jockey may come handy

Steve,
Yup, the car owners will be the drivers, otherwise they would have had to rent them to keep things legally safe.

Paul,

That's a good point as they use dirt here !!...and it rains a lot too. We may be driving down the concrete track where they have the camera follows the horses ?!!

Mustang68,

I'll DVD it for sure and will somehow post it so you guys can see it
