My car won't start. It turns over, but won't fire up. I checked for spark at the plug but there was none. Then I checked for spark at the coil, nothing. Where do I go from here? The previous owner/s updated to electronic ignition, no points. Help.------------------ 8F01C120929 1968 Red Mustang Coupe 289 2v Manual 3-speed hooker headers

Is it a Pertronix? If so, they don't have a very long service life.Check for juice at the positive wire at the coil to rule out your ignition switch. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 Open '70 Mustang Convertible 250 I6/3 speed/2.79 Open '72 Mustang Sprint Coupe 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Loc '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip

check out this page, it may help you out since I seem to recall you had a wiring issue with one of your earlier posts. Hope this helps a little at least. http://www.hammar.dyndns.org/~djhamma/wiring.htm------------------ http://webpages.charter.net/adragon8u/mystang

I do have power to the positive side...so does this mean that my ignition switch is ok?------------------ 8F01C120929 1968 Red Mustang Coupe 289 2v Manual 3-speed hooker headers

Yes, so that leaves your triggering mechanism {electronic ignition} or your coil.------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 Open '70 Mustang Convertible 250 I6/3 speed/2.79 Open '72 Mustang Sprint Coupe 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Loc '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip
