My car won't start. It turns over, but won't fire up. I checked for spark at the plug but there was none. Then I checked for spark at the coil, nothing. Where do I go from here? The previous owner/s updated to electronic ignition, no points. Help.

Is it a Pertronix? If so, they don't have a very long service life.

Check for juice at the positive wire at the coil to rule out your ignition switch.

check out this page, it may help you out since I seem to recall you had a wiring issue with one of your earlier posts. Hope this helps a little at least.

I do have power to the positive side...so does this mean that my ignition switch is ok?

Yes, so that leaves your triggering mechanism {electronic ignition} or your coil.
