Can anybody shed some light on me about what from a 70 Cougar will swap over to a Mustang? I know the usual drive train, front suspension, shifter, column and front seats will swap.

Most of the mechanicals and none of the body, except maybe the windshield.

The plastic trim pieces around the radio and at the ends of the dash will...small trim stuff should, and so do consoles.

Steve and Gary are right, very little besides the drivetrain interchanges. Even the springs are different. The leafs are longer on a cougar and the coils have a higher rate. If your parting a cougar let me know I may be interested in some of the extra parts and if not I may know someone who would be.

I don't know about 1970, but I've got a 68 Cougar donor for my 68 Stang, and I keep getting nice surprises. Like the factory AC, seat rails, steering column, radiator, etc. I'm now using the Cougar-only auto tranny damper on the Stang. You might find more than you expect.

It looks like the windshield (too bad it?s broken), door and ? glass will fit coups and maybe convertibles. The glove box, heater, column (70 only), drive train (minus the drive shaft), PDB, control arms, radiator, gas tank, console and front buckets will swap to a 69 or 70. Some can also fit the 67-8 but is limited to mechanical like Steve said. I guess I?ll learn more as I go through the car.

Yup! It?s a plain 70 H-code with an auto, console, PS and PDB. I?ll send you an email about the car but so far the rear is sold.

How about the back seat engine compartment harness and front blinkers or parking lights?

All I know is that on 67/8 Cougars with C4 or C6 trannies, a heavy damper bolts to three holes on the tail of the tranny. My Osborn's manual says these are for Cougars only, but the holes are there on Stang trannies too. I found one on my Cougar and bolted it right on to the Stang.
