Hey Ron, how did you hook up your horn when you installed your Grant wheel? I have two wires, one yellow, and one blue w/white stripe at the column. but they are stationary and I'm not sure how they would handle be attached to a rotating horn button. I got the Grant gt. not as nice as yours, but better than what I had.------------------ http://webpages.charter.net/adragon8u/mystang

Mike I never did hook it up. I didn't have any horn wires. If I remeber right there should be a floating ring and spring that keeps the ring from making contact. The ring stays in place as the wheel turns. I think My wheel is the first thing that my family every got me for my car. So I'll never get ride of it. ------------------

Thanks Ron. Mine had an after market wheel already, so the horn was never hooked up. but what I do have are to "springed?" connectors on the column. but the wheel has to push ons on the back of the button. I may not bother with the horns at all.------------------ http://webpages.charter.net/adragon8u/mystang

Those springed wires ride agaist the ring below the horn button. When you push the horn the ring makes contact with a ground and that makes the horn go. I'm installing a horn button under the dash area. But I don't have the horn wires in the column now. I have found many times that the horn would have come in handy. Instead I just rev the car up it seems to work too. ------------------

LOL. yeah, I don't have a horn on my Ranger either and have thought that not having one has probably kept me from getting my arse kicked a couple times. If you go to my webpage and click on history, you'll see the new wheel down at the bottom. I went up to the wrecking yards last weekend and found it on a Dakota. the guy gave me a fair price so I bought it.------------------ http://webpages.charter.net/adragon8u/mystang

Thanks Ron. I'd still have preferred a 4 spoke like yours, but the price for this one was to good to pass up. and the old wheel was bent like someone had pulled on it and caused the wood to splinter. that's why I had that tacky cover on it. actually feels better driving it now.------------------ http://webpages.charter.net/adragon8u/mystang
