rooted floor pans, leaking cowl vents bent frames, cracked shock towers, hacked up body parts list all missing peices you would need to replace interior and exterior stuff. Sometimes a great deal turns out costing more then paying a little more now but its all there and you just have to mantian it.Bruce

Depending on what you plan on doing with the car, I'd run the vin on it to see if its what you're getting. That T and U will turn some people off right quick like.

i originally wanted to make the car put out around 300+hp but now i really dont care. i just want one & the power it makes doesnt matter anymore....of course there will be some modding done to it tho.
what type of site checks classic cars vins?
i dont think carfax does it.

thanks for the links posted above.

Do you mean check them to see if there are any reports on them or not? Or just decoding it of sorts?

i assumed you meant something like a carfax to check its history, background, previous owners, ect. because i know carfax doesnt go back that far.

i know nothing about the decoding

The decoder will, based upon the cars dataplate, tell you what options came on your car.

If you are thinking about getting {or have} a '67-'73 car, you can order a full report on your car from Marti Autoworks Marti

As for Carfax, it won't work.

well, I know the guy went by the username Chriss, I think I left the h out earlier. If you like, i could swing over and see if he's decided what he wants, or if it's sold.

that's just it, he has the sign on it but never gives a price. says he hasn't decided yet. it needs work for sure, but what he's done so far is not bad. stock 289 set up. Maybe Steve remebers the thread? I've tried back searching the posts in hoping to find his email.

Make sure you have a solid body and subframe structure. On cars of this age, you'll be replacing or rebuilding everything else anyway.

I would agree with Steve L. Im not a fan of bodywork so I went with a car that had a solid body. Check for sagging rear springs, it will probably have a badly sagging pair if they are original. All the above are also great (cowl, shock towers etc..)
