Your local parts supplier would work fine. Autozone, Advanced, any of them should carry it.

If you went with nonpower assist manual discs then a 74 Maverick manual disc brake MC will work.

Or, an '83 Ranger non-power m/c is a direct bolt-in for a non-power application; identical pushrod depth so there's no need to buy another one. W/core exchange (any core will do), I think I paid $30 at a local parts house. And, it's aluminum If I can get my digital camera to behave, I'll shoot a few pics of my setup if you'd like. A few feet of brake hardline, some creative bends, some flare fittings and a flaring tool and you're set ------------------ 1965 GT coupe, 333ci aluminum headed/solid cammed stroker, four speed, 3.70:1 9" All Blue Oval, no blue bottle http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/V8Thumper.html [This message has been edited by V8 Thumper (edited 11-29-2003).]

You can use old pulleys to make even, kink-free hardline bends. Big 1/2" or 3/4" drive sockets work well too Guess I'm just too cheap to buy a tubing bender ------------------ 1965 GT coupe, 333ci aluminum headed/solid cammed stroker, four speed, 3.70:1 9" All Blue Oval, no blue bottle http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/V8Thumper.html

Is there an up or down on the 83 ranger vs 74 maverick, besides the ranger being aluminum that is?

I believe the Ranger unit has a smaller diameter bore & piston (7/8" vs. 15/16", or 13/16" vs. 7/8" or something like that), resulting in higher hydraulic pressure. A big plus for manual systems ------------------ 1965 GT coupe, 333ci aluminum headed/solid cammed stroker, four speed, 3.70:1 9" All Blue Oval, no blue bottle http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/V8Thumper.html [This message has been edited by V8 Thumper (edited 11-29-2003).]

Ok I've got some honey-do's to accomplish, so hopefully I'll get the pics up this afternoon. If not, this evening for sure ------------------ 1965 GT coupe, 333ci aluminum headed/solid cammed stroker, four speed, 3.70:1 9" All Blue Oval, no blue bottle http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/V8Thumper.html

Try an booster/mc from an 92-95 Jeep Cherokee.its almost an direct replacement , but you got to take the lower holes a bit wider... works great for me, much better stopping power... same rod length so thats good. Greetz Ben

I don't know, any other Cherokee/Wrangler looks from the outside the same as a Mustang..same mc , problably different interior specs. , but i dont know about the boltflange..I've used the Grand Cherokee because it's a much heavier car then my '72 Mustang so with this bb/mc it just had to work much better and it does!! greetz Ben
