It will sometime happen under heavy to WOT accelerations (above 3K) and smells like unburned fuel coming back out of the carb (I plugged the breather to verify that). It usually coincides with a noticeable loss of power !! Some king of missfire ? (Using all new ignition equipment + MSD6A) Aside from that engine runs perfect no other complaint Thank for any input

Yes (Holley 600CFM double pumper), I have paid extra caution to the adjustments of the carb & the ignition system. My own analysis of the problem tells me that this is a slight missfire situation due to some random electrical issue on a wire or interferences with the MSD box trigger wires, bad ground...... But I want to get you guys opinion

If you are suspect of the carb, you may have some float vent sloshing under acceleration Pierre. Try connecting the vent tubes with a length of 3/8 rubber hose. 6 inches should be plenty and there is no need to clamp it. Take some wire cutters or a razor blade and cut a small slot in the center of the hose at the apex of the hood side. If slosh over is the problem, this will cure it.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 First SS/MA in the TENS!
