I just obtained a 302 HO engine with t-5 and 8.8 rear. The engines in great shape, I just can't stand the fact that it's FI. It just doesn't look right under the hood of a classic stang. So, what i'm looking to do is either a dual quad intake or a 3 deuce. Problem is I can't find the 3 deuces intake anywhere for the 302! I know Mustangs Unlimited sells a kit for 1300 but I'd rather get the intake and parts myself and see if I can do it a bit cheaper than that. Does anyone know where I could get a 3x2 intake for a 302?
Thanks!

Welcome to M&M, Mooney. I remember seeing one in a catalog some years back. I think it was either an Edelbrock or a Ford Motorsport. However, Edelbrock isn't showing it anymore on their website.

What is that hole at the rear of the manifold? Looks like a distributer hole on a chevy. Just looks odd.

That hole is part of an early crankcase vent system. It will accept either a road draft tube or a PCV system.

Remember the early 260's and 289's? They had closed rocker covers?

A 3 X 2 manifold is available from many sources-HOLMAN-MOODY/TONY BRANDA. In fact, HOLLEY just came out with the repro carbs...so you can have fresh carbs on it.

Oh...the 260/289 manifolds will fit the 302.

Kinda brings tears to your eyes, dont it?

Pony Carburetors has a 3-autolite 2300 setup for those intakes.
I would imagine it would be less trouble than the Holleys.

Welcome to M&M
We're practically neighbors, do you go to many of the local cruise nights?

I know a guy that has a small block cross ram intake for 2 fours, that would be an interesting set up for an early stang.

The cross ram is a real head turner. The only thing I don't like about them is they won't fit under a stock hood.

I actually started off looking for the cross ram, cause i found a Mickey Thompson one. But I figured that since I'm trying to keep the stock outside appearence that I'd have trouble with hood clearence and mind the fact that my wallet just wasn't willing to go that deep.
But as to cruise nights, I actually wasn't aware of any around here, but if you wouldn't mind letting me know of someplaces to go, I'd surely appreciate it. The cars not the prettiest, it's got its fair share of rust, but with the aqua/white pony interior and factory air.. it's still nice enough to catch attention though. But yah, if you'd let me know of someplaces where some are, I'd appreciate it. If I ever have the time off work, I just go up Barrett Parkway and watch the ricers rev up (sounds like a bunch of lawnmowers if you ask me) but occasionally I'll catch a nice car that comes by and makes 'em run and hide.

Barrett Pkwy is a funny place, rice eaters everywhere.

A good cruise this Saturday is in Downtown Rockmart, nice little drive.

Fourth Saturday at the Wendy's on the corner of Hwy 120 and Barrett Pkwy, should be a big turnout because the Dallas cruise (same weekend) is over for the year so there won't be any competition.

I think the Canton cruise is over, I'll check on it, it's the third Saturday, last month there was over 600 cars.

If you go to the Rockmart or Barrett Pkwy cruise call me and we'll meet up, Cell # 404-886-3043

I believe Kcode has one on his, I mean his wifes car. He can probably point you in another right direction. And maybe even help you with your project. He does know a little bit of something.
