Another newbie question about mechanis and Mustangs, but I found a 1982 LTD in a junkyard. I took the Master Cylinder off from the power booster, and was wondering if it could be used in my 1968 Mustang with Granada Front disc brakes and stock rear drum brakes? Thanks for your time.

I used a manual m/c out of an '83 Ranger and it worked great. Identical piston depth, so the stock pushrod is used to maintain proper pedal geometry. I'd think the '82 master is similar, but tough to say without doing some measuring. I didn't know it when I bought my car, but I had an MC in there that was identical to that in a '76 LTD for disc/drum. I was running drum/drum back then. When I swapped it out for an original, I had to change the pushrod. But anyhow it worked fine. I've seen that same MC since in a lot of largish Fords from that era, so very possibly the '82 one is the same. If you can post a pic, I can tell you for sure.
