Hello people i have not posted in a while but i have question.

What is the proper installition path of the power steering on a 68 w/ a/c and a 351w instead of a 289. A pic would be nice. I bought a hose and it fit sorta but hit the exhast manifold and well lets just say i was the smoking demon on the road.

thanks in advance

The powersteering hose goes from the steering ram to a bracket located between the driver's side shock tower and the engine. this bracket has two holes in the rubber pad for both pressure and return hose. then goes to the pump. On my 302 engine, I put on a hi-po manifold and had to reroute the hose under the engine to prevent burn though from the manifold. I had a custom hose made at a local hose shop. I hope this helps you.

ewokeric,

Here is a photo of the bracket on a 70, I think that they are all about the same. The hoses should be routed almost straight down, then they turn and go to this braket to keep them from moving.

There are a couple of more photos on KAR's web site with this set under Restoration and Repair. They have added photos of 2 70 MACH1.
