Well, I was planning on doing the Duraspark conversion when I ran accross this deal. I got a new Accel Billet distributor for $90. Is this a good choice or would I be better selling this one and going with the conversion? Here is a link to it http://www.mrgasket.com/pdf/Distributors.pdf

The model number is #71204E

I'd get the Accel, it's a better unit. For example, the top of the shaft on a Duraspark has a bushing, the Accel has ball bearings.

That 71204E goes for $210, so I'd say go for it.

I take that back! I just read where the Accel unit has bronze bushings. I guess they don't make em like they used to. So I guess it's a toss up.

One thing to think about: If you blow a rotor button in the Duraspark in East Bumpkin, you just go to the nearest auto parts store. With the Accel, good luck.
