I have a 289 timing cover for sale and a buyer wanys to know if it will fit a boss 302? Thanks,Tony

My first impression is yes, since you can put a 302 cam in a 289 i'm under the impression that the blocks are near identical. but I'd still wait for a reply from someone here that knows more.

My original 289ci timing chain cover is now on the front of my 302ci !!! The dipstick doesn't read right though ?!?!?

The timing cover will fit. The Boss 302 has a different dip stick, to measure I believe 6.5 quarts.....

I think that 6 1/2 quarts is just for the BOSS302.....
