I have a 289 timing cover for sale and a buyer wanys to know if it will fit a boss 302? Thanks,Tony------------------

My first impression is yes, since you can put a 302 cam in a 289 i'm under the impression that the blocks are near identical. but I'd still wait for a reply from someone here that knows more.------------------

My original 289ci timing chain cover is now on the front of my 302ci !!! The dipstick doesn't read right though  ?!?!?------------------

The timing cover will fit. The Boss 302 has a different dip stick, to measure I believe 6.5 quarts.....
