Ok, since I have decided to replace all my old suspension parts, which should I use. They say Midolyne doesn't squeak like poly, but is it as good? The price is the same. Any one out there have an opinion? Also, where have you goten your suspension kits, and what was the quality of the parts? I don't want a bunch of junk.

Would like the answer on this myself as the car I'm doing will be a driver and don't want to listen to the squeaking all the time.------------------ 1969 Sportsroof,302,C4 1999 F250 CC 4x4 Powerstroke 2002 F250 Powerstroke

Go with the poly and install zerks (grease fittings where ever you can. During install, lube the bushings with anti-sieze. If you go with poly, buy the black (graphite impregnated) bushings. Check with PST, they also make a graphite bushing. Stay away from the colored.

I run the midolyne bushings in my car and they seem fine except I hit a curb and bent a lower control arm and the bushing outer sleeve. Then when I went to order more, they told me I could only get them if I bought the whole arm. Well the repo arms are crap compared to the originals so I bought some pst poly lower control arm bushings put on my old lower arms and I don't have any squeaks yet. But then I only put about 1200 miles on my car sine the rebuild. ------------------ 1970 coupe restored with the help of my dad. 302 with 600 holley, aluminum intake, headers, pertonix ignitor 2 with matched coil, lakewood bellhousing, 4-speed toploader, and 2.79 open 8" rear. I used polyuerethane on the shackles of my rear springs and greased them. I dont drive the car much but they never squeak. Its a general rule that poly bushes on all components make a harsh noisy ride for street cars, the front of the leaf springs are rubber on my car because its a hard link to the chassis. Other areas to recommend rubber is tie rods. Not used Milodyne and would be interested because I am planning front suspension overhaul soon. ------------------ '68 coupe 289 C code 66 heads, edel 600cfm carb, performer intake, dual exhaust

I've got the midolyne bushings for some of the bushings, the ride is good but, the bushings don't seem to last. I have some cracks developing in my shock bushings. I've had them install for about 2 years now. I've also heard the same complaint over at www.vintage-mustang.com

Yeah, if you heard complaints about Midolyne bushings it was probably me. I bought the entire front end kit from American Pony. Everything was fine except the Midolyne strut rod bushings and stabilizer bar link bushings. The strut rod bushings tore in just 50 miles. The stab bar link bushings lasted another 50 miles after that before they tore. I replaced them with plain old rubber ones from Moog. My theory is that the Midolyne just too stiff and they split instead of "squishing". I will say that I don't have a problem with the suspension components squeaking, however.

I bet in cold climates the milodyne fares worse, but most of us dont drive our cars in the very cold weather.------------------ '68 coupe 289 C code 66 heads, edel 600cfm carb, performer intake, dual exhaust

Just for the record ... my whole car is now poly except the strut rods, and I don't get any squeaks, even when I jump up and down on the rear quarters.
