Hi Guys
I suspect that my speedo is incorrect, although I haven't done a thorough check yet. I was just wondering if there is a way to adjust the speedo?

Did you change your tire size or your rear end gears ? If you did this will change your speedo, if not then it could be your speedo cable needs changing or it has come loose at either end. Could also be your speedo gear in your tranny is pooched. If you changed tire size or gears you will have to change the speedo gear in the tranny to compensate for the changes you made.

I don`t think it makes any difference if the rear end is for a 6 or 8, but the C4 tranny that was installed may not have the proper speedo gear in it for the rear end you have in the car. The gear ratio is what will determine which speedo gear you need and how accurate your speedo is. If you have 3.00:1 6cyl gears but your C4 tranny came out of a car with a 2.79:1 8 cyl rear or a 3.25:1 8 cyl rear your speedo will not read accurately. If I am wrong on this somebody will set the record straight for you, but I think I have it correct.
