Mustang Monthly has a red Mach 1 with white interior in the back of the June 03 issue. What is that color red,,,red seems to be growing on me as to the color for my Mach clone project. I'm guessing it's the candyapple red?------------------ 1969 Sportsroof,302,C4 1999 F250 CC 4x4 Powerstroke 2002 F250 Powerstroke

6T9...Haven't seen the picture...but the correct color name for the 70 Mach is as you said...Ford Candy Apple Red. That is the factory color of my 70 Mach, and when I went to the local paint shop when repainting mine this is the color I asked for and they crossed matched it perfectly! ...Chris

That red '69 Mach you're asking about in the back of June Mustang Monthly belonged to my friend Gary ("belonged", because he sold it recently to a guy in Georgia). It was actually featured and on the cover of Mustang Monthly about a year ago. It is Candyapple Red. I had bought the car as a project when I was 14, and sold it (still a project) to Gary when I was 16. Gary spent 10 years restoring it using almost 100% n.o.s. parts, it's an amazing Mach, one of the nicest out there. Somewhere in GA now.

I thought you were painting your car Calypso Coral like the Mach in the bookstore ad above. Did you change your mind? ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 Please remember our sponsors, Mustangs Plus, NPD, Osborn Reproductions, and FordRamAir.com
