The red paint in my GT emblems(68)needs to be replaced. Anyone have experience with the type and color to use? Someone mentioned that I should use "red nail polish". OK, so there are only about 50 different shades of red.

Thanks

Sorry, husky, if you got excited and thought someone had an answer, but I want to keep this thread alive.
I have loads of e-Bay pics of GT wheel centers and pop-open gas caps for sale, but you can't trust anything you see on your computer monitor, unless it's a really high-budget Radius or similar.
A Revlon number would be handy!

Well, it may not be exactly right, but I used Testors Red enamel. It looked good to me and I have not had anyone yet say, "That red isn't right". I'm sure there will be someone somewhere that will let me know.

I used the same thing. Left over paint from when I built model cars. I used their blue as well. Charlie

I was told that the touchup rattle can paint for trucks in candy apple red was a good match. I got as far as stripping the paint off by soaking the part in Pinesole and buying a can of paint but that?s as far as I got.
