This might sound like a simple question, but I am installing my plastic interior panels around the trap door opening and wonder how everyone attaches these. The previous owner used pop rivets that I had to drill out or were all these installed that way? Using clip on nutplates would work for some but the holes along the sides have a lip that won't allow this. I am curious how others have these installed.

Clark,

These panels in my 69 are installed with rivets. As far as I can tell this is how they were installed at the factory.

Thanks Ronnie, I have to keep telling myself that these cars were not put together with the greatest technology. Since I am not going concourse, I will substitute with something a little easier to remove.

On a Mustang with the 'Sport Deck' fold down seat option, there's a door that opens the interior to the trunk so you can carry skis, lumber, or bodies.
