I know I saw these on Ebay once, but now I can't find. I would like to put an aluminum divider between my trunk and the interior of my 65. For safety reasons. Does anyone know where to get one? I used some diamond plate stainless steel. Cheaper and probably more effective, at least until it melts.

Check online and see if you can find some info about something called Tank Armor I believe. I saw it in one of the Mustang mags awhile back. The thing installed over the tank, like making a trunk floor. Looked pretty slick, and a trunk mat could help hide it. A good solution for fastbacks. The company that makes them is based in Scottsdale, AZ, I thnk.------------------ Gary M.- 1970 Mustang Deluxe SportsRoof (daily driver), 1946 Ford pickup, 1947 Ford pickup, 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Town Vic

ernie you can realy make one your self pretty easy. I made a custom speaker box that fits the hole perfect. I'd take measurments for you, but I own a coupe.

But the ones they sell on eBay that go behind the seat are for coupes and convert only, the fastbacks are different due to the roof line. http://autoworks.cc/gas_tank_armor.htm This is one of the only solution for us fastback and SportsRoof owners since the area between the trunk and pass compartment of fastbacks are diff from coupe and convert. Tank Armor costs more, but is a very nice set up and also strengthens the trunk floor.------------------ Gary M.- 1970 Mustang Deluxe SportsRoof (daily driver), 1946 Ford pickup, 1947 Ford pickup, 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Town Vic [This message has been edited by 70SportsRoof (edited 06-09-2003).]
