i have installed a 1 wire regulator on my alternator. does anyone know if i need to connect a fusible link from the 10 ga. wire to the solonoid? if i do, would it be a 14 ga. fusible link to handle the 10 ga. wire? or do i just straight wire from the regulator to the + of the solonoid? thanks for any response

I have never hooked up a 1 wire alternator but I would install a fuseable link, or a fuse, in the line to the solenoid just for my comfort. The link needs to be rated for the current flow based on the alternator output. If it is a 65 amp alternator I would fuse it for 80 amps.------------------ Ronnie 69 mach1 351W-4V engineless at the time! 70 Torino GT 351C-4v with a "shaker" Mustangs and More Member #23

I've never done the 1 wire deal myself. What are the positives and negatives? For what its worth or not worth, I agree with Ronnie. And heck, if you can make it look good go with a fuse. I hate tracking down fuseable links and the work to replace them when God's been making pull out fuses for so long.
