Well I finished welding in the new front frame rail patch panel and now I'm ready to put front disc brakes where the drums used to be. I was able to trade my local salvage yard for some parts off a '77 Granada in exchange for my '93 Cavalier. Good trade! I am going to pull to the rotors, calipers, spindles and master cylinder. I know I have to buy new tie rod ends and brake hoses. I also want to convert to power at the same time. Can I use the booster from the Grenada? and what else do I need to complete this project? Thanks for all the help so far!

I am in the middle of the granada swap right now. If your car is an 8 cylinder you only need to change the outer tie rod ends. If you are converting a six you will need new pitman, idler, centerlink, inner & outer tie rod ends in addition to all the granada stuff.
The brake hose on the granada exits to the front of the car - you old calipers exited to the rear. Do yourself a favor and support our sponsors and buy the brake line adaptors from Mustangs Plus. They are cheap and make this portion of the job a breeze.

Check out www.mustangsteve.com for some great information on how to do the swap. There is also information on converting to power brakes. There is tons of info on this sight and on the web down to parts lists to do the job. It really made it easy for me. The toughest part has been the actual work! I haven't started re-plumbing the brake lines yet. Since I am a novice at that look for some future posts from me

Good Luck - Phil

one more very important thing - make sure you get the Granada brake proportioning valve from the donor car. You will save yourself a lot of money later!!!
