Can anyone recomend where to buy Interior trim pieces for a 72 fastback. I'm changing color from red to black and all the trim pieces are so brittle that they cannot be dyed and reused. I have found a couple of pieces in mustang california catalog and npd but not everything I need. Thanks ahead of time for all replys! Also where is the best place to buy the Magnum 500's.

"Everything" you need is not reproduced, not available new. You'll need to find good used pieces. There's a guy in S. Florida named Charles Caruso who ALWAYS has really clean and fresh used 71-73 interior plastic trim pieces. His # is 305-558-6146. Otherwise, check Hemmings for more used parts dealers.

I don't know much about cars, so maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're looking for, but I found a whole interior package in an ad in "Mustangs & Fords" magazine (June 2003) for $625. I have a '72 fastback too. It had the dash pad, door panels, upholstery... I don't remember what else... carpet? visors? Maybe. Don't have it on me, but I remember thinking it was most everything I need. And, believe me, I need everything.

I get the mustangandfords magazine. In that mag are tones of suppliers that specialize in reproduction parts of all kinds. I collected a catalog from any of the companies that provided them for free. I have about 12 different suppliers to choose from. You may want to do that, then you can shop for best quality and price. Good luck.

What I inferred from his post since he mentioned "brittle" was all the plastic trim in the interior. Most of that stuff is not reproduced. Of course upholstery and carpeting and a ton of other stuff is available, but dash components, console components, and all windshield and rear compartment plastic pieces are not. That ebay auction looks like a great start.

Let me know exactly what you need in the way of interior trim. Be specific, as I have a ton of interior parts.
