I'm about to take my front suspension partly apart this weekend to do a shelby upper a arm drop. I'll also be adding grease fittings to my uppercontrol arms and possibly cutting the coil springs to achieve a level, lowered stance. Is there anything else I should do before I put it all back together and get it aligned? Also, any tips on doing this would be appreciated.

Please use a good spring compressor or it could be the last thing you do safty first and i am no expert on springs but i say if you have to cut use something that will cut fast and without a lot of heat and remove little bits at a time like 1/2 inch or less and keep trying it untill even also you may want to let the car settle on the new setup for at least 5 or more hours so the susp will settle good luck and be safe please

I assume you're setting your car up for road race or oval track. Because cutting your coil springs and lowering your a arms isn't going to help you in drag racing. Just reminding you, from your drag vs. road race thread.

Put new bump stops in too! With the A arms dropped 1" you're at the limit for balljoint travel. If the bump stops are worn, you'll over-travel on an impact and stand a good chance to break the balljoints.

I'm going to drop my A arms 1 3/4" and use a wedgekit for now.

You may want to work on the upper control arms. Check out this faq page, scroll down to the suspension section.
