What is the difference between a V8 and a I6 C4? Is it just the bellhousing? My CoM is leaking pretty badly now, and I want a C4, but may be upping my I6 to a V8, so I need to consider my options. Thanks.

Well...I know this...

I swapped a 240 I6 to a 302 in my 68 F-100 without changing anything with the c4.

Dunno if it's the same with the Stangs.

Yeah I'd heard that, but I think it was Alex a while ago who said to someone something about a I6 version of the C4 or something, I may have misunderstood.

The I6 250(and also the 300cid) shares the same bellhousing as the SBF. Regarding the I6 C4, internals are not as strong as the V8 C4.

look for a 70 or newer c-4 as they are the strongest stock 26 spline input shaft instead of 24 and the valve body is better routed

There are less clutches and steels in the I6 C4, which reduces it's torque capacity. There may be other differences, but that's the main one.
