Topic: Question On OEM 4 barrel Carbs

I notice there are alot of Carbs out there and I am not sure what came original on the 65- 66 mustang A and K code. What were these Different Carbs used for originaly Does any one Know ? Ford - Autolite/Motorcraft 4100/4300/4300D/4350 Ford - Carter AFB 4 Barrel Ford - Holley 4 Barrel 4150/4160/4180

Doc, Both the A and K code 289's came with Autolite 4100's, with the A code rated at 480CFM and had 1.08" venturis. I believe the K code had 1.12" venturis, a manual choke, and were rated at a higher CFM. When you ask about OEM (original equipment manufacturer) carbs, I think any of your listed carbs are OEM, although maybe not original for 1965 to 1966. Some of them also are service replacements. The Autolite 4300 debuted - on Mustangs anyway - in 1968.
