Be sure to post some pictures of the progress. Where in Kansas does your dad live?

Cool! What color are you painting her?

I grew up in Kansas City, went to college in Lawrence. All of my family is still in KC.

I grew up in kansas have a brother in independece mo. and an aunt in lawrence.

My car will be painted back original T5 code candy apple red with the blackouts but I am also going to black out the headlights and the tail light panel like the 69 boss 302 because I think that it will have too much RED when looking at the front and back of the car. Do you all think this is a good Idea or should I just keep it original???

I personally would keep it original, but it is your car, so do what you want and what makes you happy. It will look great no matter what you do to it.

Nice car.

Like John said, it's your car but I would paint it like original, too. It's pretty hard to improve on Ford's styling of the '69-'70. {except to leave the '69 side stripe off} As long as you don't paint the mirrors and side scoops black, I guess. That looks terrible, IMHO.
