I'm just starting to gather info on this, so I hope I'm not turning over too much old ground. The last thing I have to do on my '68 is rack and pinion. I have my eye on a few options, one of which is the Mustang II approach. There are a few cars available in my neck of the woods -- not parts cars, but even so, cheaper than a Total Control setup. Are there any particular Stangs I should be looking for? Or will they all do the job just as well? Sorry to be so vague -- I know as much about Mustang II's as I did about Mustang I's four years ago! Simon

It's pretty much a hack job to put in. You have to cut out your existing front suspension and install MII arms, etc... to go with the rack. The stupidly expensive TCP rack is probably a better solution.

That bad, huh? Thanks OK, I'm gonna try and track down a guy I used to know who built Shelby Cobra clones with ****** van steering gear. I remember he swore by it, but then he moved shop ...

SteveL, I can't believe it You see those six stars (******) in my last post? They're the name of a very popular brand of Japanese car. Let me try another - ***** - and another - Mitsubishi.
