Hi guys
Everyone has been sooooo helpful here. i have what I think may be a very simple question, did ford do as a sales promotion, or gimmick the specialy built for label that can be found down by the heater core? Mine has one and I was thinking that it was a sales promotion thing.

Ford did alot of things like that, also dash plaques were commercially available "Specially built for XXXXXX".

In 1984 I bought a T-Bird "Elan" in the owners manual was a form to send in and get "Gold" plated dash plaque stating the car was "Specially built". They even sent me a custom T-bird ink pen so I could write them a check everymonth
