Will the 20 gallon tank from a 69 or 70 fit into the stock opening in a 67 or 68??

Cousins fastback needs a new tank and the Power Tour is coming up, he figures about 10mpg with the 428, he'll be stopping for gas a bunch, 4 extra gallons would help.

I just put a 70 (they are 22 gal) into my 65 FB. Very easy swap.

It fits fine! You will lose a little trunk space, as the part of the tank that is larger is the part inside the trunk. I have one out of a 69 Cougar in my 68 FB. You will just have to trim the filler neck.
