Question. Sometimes when I crank the car repeatedly (like when it's having trouble starting) the gauges and wipers and turn signals (but not hazards) will be dead. Then I turn the car off, start it again, and everything is fine. What's up? Am I tripping some circuit breaker?

Had the exact same problem with my 65FB, it turned out to be the ignition was just worn out, I had to wiggle the key to get everything to power up. I got a good used ignition with key from a local guy who was parting out his 65 coupe for $2.00, check yours out, might be that is the problem.
