I'm doing the shelby mod, but before I do, I want to make sure I've got everything right. Is this it?
-Get coil spring compressor
-get 1/2 drill bit
-Jack front of car up
-remove coil spring
-unbolt upper spindle mount and the other two bolts holding the upper control arm in place
-support lower control arm and spindle
-drill two new holes directly 1" under old holes
-re-intall upper control arm
-install coil spring
-align front end to these specs:-.5 camber, +2 degrees caster and 1/8 toe

What are the torque settings for anything that had to be unbolted? On the template, it lookes like the upper arm is suppose to be in tilted, mines parallel to the ground...do I just measure one inch down to drill new holes? Can I get smaller coil spring isolators to lower car a little more? Thanks

ps: this is a '67 coupe w/289

The two new holes are NOT directly under the old ones. There's a template on the web somewhere that you can download. I was gonna do this years ago, and now that the '66 is a drag car I'm glad I didn't.
