My split duration 265/273 comp cam seems to be a good choice. It idles fine and has vacum for all them vent controlls and vac.advance.

What's the RPM range on the cross boss manifold? My Performer RPM should be 1500 - 6500 and I was shooting for 2500-5500 for my power band in the intersest of keeping parts from breaking.

I spent a lot of time with this desktop dyno program on a bud's PC and looking through the comp cams website http://www.compcams.com/

I say seems because I only have about 20 miles on the car and its rotten tires waiting for these American Racing Wheels to show up.

I'm very happy with my 282s comp cam. My setup is not exactly like yours but close. I find the cam very streetable. I idle between 800-900 and the bottom end seems stronger than it did with the performer intake and a smaller cam. I really am happy with my current setup for a hot street car.

toronado :I don't really know the range on the Cross Boss...last time we used it was on a roundy round 351-c that stayed between 4000 and 7800 kinda over kill for the street but I gotta do it if even for a little while. Have a torker somewhere around here that will probably wind up on there with an 850 Holley
Note: I solved the vacum problem with a big cam...Toyota pick-up power steering pump is also a vacum pump for their smog it's tiny and has plenty of pressure to turn a nose heavy Mustang Thanks for the replies kinda had a cam in that range in mind probably 292h ........Jay
