 We just got our letter from Ford about our 68 fastback.  It says my tranny was "automatic type XP".  Was it a C-4 or C-6?  It's a "J-code" car.  Currently, no engine/trans. :cofused:

 can you check your Warranty plate for the info?Look for a code of either U=C6 W=C4 sam note Warranty Plate is located on the Drivers Door..if it's still there. sam

 The History 999 reports from Ford have slightly different coding... must be some "internal use" codes.An XP transmission is a C4. An XPL is a C6. I don't recall what they used for FMX. ------------------ My webpage: www.gt350clone.com
