Only fastbacks, except for a famous 12 convertibles built in 1966. I think 10 of them are left.

There were 65-66 Shelby trans am coupes. Someone here provided me with the info a long time ago. Guess the story goes that only coupes were allowed for whatever type of racing it was.

66 and 67 coupes were built for T/A racing when SCCA changed rules from 65 to 66 after Shelby's dominated. Mustangs still won anyway.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." Man, I've been playing with old Mustangs since 1979, and I'm still learning new things. I didn't realize Shelby made coupes in '66. Thanks for the link.

The Shelby Museum in Boulder has the first 65 GT-350R that was ever made. They found it somewhere in Mexico. They haven't restored it yet. It's mostly complete, but man is it rough shape. They trying to decide whether to restore it, or to leave it as is.If any of you take a Colorado vacation, make sure you visit this place. http://www.shelbyamericancollection.org/
