I need a measurement from a 4spd toploader.

I need to know what the measurement of the output shaft centerline to the transmission mount flange is.

This might not be exactly what you need.. since my tranny is out.. but from the very rear of the 4-spd spline to the center of the tranny mount bolt hole on the passenger side is right at 11.5 inchs.. from the spline to the rear the tranny mount plate looks to be right at 10.0 inchs. This is out of a 69 mustang with set up for a small block.

Thankyou very much! I guess my picture was mis-leading. I'll try to word it as best I can too. What I am doing (for the last 7 months) is trying to determine the absolute best way to install a tremec trans in a 65 Mustang. I was about to tackle the welding to complete the job when I came up with yet another way to do it (third so far). The Tremec will fit under the tunnel in a 65 using the stock mount with the stock crossmember. You just have to move the floor crossmember back 2 inches and notch it to fit between the shifter and the plate closest to it. Ok, thats the background history. What I need to know is the distance from the output centerline to the mounting flange. If you are looking at it from the side...up and down measurement.

I have included a link that shows the measurement on the Tremec. You will see it as the measurement of 2.34 in. farthest to the right of the diagram.
http://www.5speedtransmissions.com/dimensions.html

The reason for all this is because on the one hand alot people install the Tremecs to low, poor driveline angles and street clearance, and equal number of people may be installing them too high making it so they have to cut the transmission hump and so the transmission and engine don't have enough driveshaft angle.

It was a little hard to measure where I have my tranny at.. but using yard stick.. I came up with 2 3/4's inchs..
