The P/S idler arm will give you a tighter steering radius.

WOW that's high!
They are $60 - $75 in all the Mustang cataloges. Have you tried NPD?
I would suggest the Ca store since it's closest but I don't know if they ever upgraded their quality of "help" there yet.

yeah i was gonna call parts suppliers in california since no one out here carries it, they all have to get it shipped also. NPD just seems to charge like 3 times as much as everyone else on shiping to hawaii.

Soooo... Hmmm...
Alex, does this mean that on my '68 Coupe with stock manual steering, I could change to a power steering idler arm to tighten my turning radius? Wouldn't this also require a pitman arm change to keep the correct geometry? I have been led to believe that a steering system such as the Mustang's, needed the pitman and idler arms to be the same length, swinging in the same plane and pivoting in unison. I know very little about steering and suspension geometry and if I am misinformed, I would be thrilled to learn more.

I can`t speak for the 68 & earlier cars, but I know that the 69 & 70 Mustangs have different idler arms, as the way the attatch to the center link is different. So, with a PS center link, a PS idler is needed.
