I live in a small town so ANY Older Mustang in town draws attention. I have a 69 and a friend of mine JP has a 65 fastback. That's it. Well I went to the movie gallery today to rent a movie after pulling the transmission out of my car to change the convertor. Lo & Behold in the pouring down rain at the movie rent store is a Black 69 R code 4 speed, shaker scoop Mustang. Pouring down rain. I went inside and found the owner. I asked him what in the world was he driving it on a day like this?? And where are you from??? Come to find out the guy just moved here and that is his only transportation. Go figure. I wanted to erect a cover for it right there in the parking lot. Anyway we exchanged phone numbers, one day I suppose we'll go for a cruise. He seems to know about Mustangs but he didn't seem to CARE that it was a gem. Like a kid who had a new wagon too long, he knows it's nice but it just isn't as fun anymore. ------------------ Jerry 69 Mustang Pro ET Drag 70 Mustang retired former footbrake car "This is FORD Country! Mike, I was more worried about some fruit basket running into it, the way folks drive around here. Especially in the rain. They are like geese they wake up in a new world everyday, like OMG here is rain? how do I drive? I guess he wasn't worried. That's how I knew he was from out of town. His foolish trust in local drivers. I asked and he confirmed it. I didn't ask if he had insurance. I looked for his car today and it wasn't there. Who knows maybe it was all a figment of my imagination. I'll ask Jason tommorow he was with me. I bet it leaked like they all do Mike. Jerry
