I have a Motorcraft 4V that has been sitting for a long time and the throttle plates have stuck. Anyone have any tricks for unsticking them?

Soak the piss out of it with a good penetrant lubricant, and let it sit overnight. That'll free it up some, but you may need to 'work' it back and forth. Keep the penetrant lube on it, give it some time to do it's job and it'll give up sooner or later
