And how does it come out? I have the front off the dash(the little molded piece that goes over the radio and the A/C controls). I need a wiring diagram, know how to get the radio out or get behind it, and figure out what keeps it in place.

I know you guys can help.
Thanks

There's a clip on the back of the radio that holds onto a support, you just need to give it a good tug.

I believe there are also 2 screws at the bottom of the radio mount plate that may look like they hold in the air control panel.

It just seems to big to fit through the hole. Do the side pieces need to be removed?

Sorry. Guess it was a reflex or something.

Did you remove the two screws at the bottom of the radio? Does the air control fit over the bracket? I'm kind of guessing here because my 69 doesn't have a radio in it righ now. You may need to remove the side trim pieces.

Yeap, have to remove those two little trim pieces, and the two screws at the bottom of the front bracket and it should pull out. The wiring is I think the blue with red strip is for dash liting, as in when you pull your lights on the light in the radio comes on, the other one is keyed power I believe. one goes to the speaker and I believe that is all there is in the factory wiring.

Hope the wiring is not trashed. The PO had a CD deck at one time. Thanks.

Well, I got the radio out yesterday. I hooked up everything to find out the it doesn't work. The PO had installed a aftermarket radio and cut up everything. I installed my cheap JC Whitney stereo and it works great. Thanks.
